Hiring Process

Here are the steps to becoming a Medic-1 Employee:

  • Complete an application

  • Successfully pass the written and skills exam.

  • Ride-a-long with one of our crews.

  • Interview Process

  • Pre-employment physical

  • Fitted for uniforms

  • Assigned to Training Officer and begin training

  • 90 day probation period

Working Environment

Monthly Company Events, Annual Holiday Celebration

Issued Equipment

  • Two full uniforms

  • Leather boots

  • Leather belt

  • Uniform jacket

  • Company Badge

  • Belt Buckle

  • A pager (for business and personal use)

  • Dry cleaning service of issued uniforms

  • Optional uniforms for special events, holidays and weekends,  jumpsuits and sweatshirts

Flexible Work Scheduling

Here at Medic-1, we understand how important life commitments can be. We do our best in working to find the right schedule for you.

  • School friendly Schedules.

  • 10 hour, 11 hour or 24 hour shifts.

  • Monday-Wednesday-Friday - Saturday (day car).

  • Tuesday – Thursday-Saturday (or Sunday 24 hr shift).

  • Monday – Friday (day car).

  •  Special Events as needed.

  • Part Time / Per Diem Status.

  • Overtime is always available.
